Module reference

The 21 modules Food Magic is built from, and what each one is responsible for

Food Magic is organised into 21 modules. Each one handles a different part of running the business — from taking an order to paying staff.

Grid of the 21 Food Magic modules — Orders, Ingredients, Storefront, Menu, Users, System, Integrations, Payroll, Billing, Customers, Tables, Pos, Outlets, Backup, Modifiers, Pricing, Areas, Brands, Taxes, Communication and Leave — with Reservation, Franchise management and Expense tracking shown separately as not yet built.
All 21 modules, plus the three capabilities that aren't built yet.

Module inventory

  1. Orders — every order from creation to close: dine-in, takeaway and delivery, kitchen tickets, and the status ladder each one moves through
  2. Ingredients — stock levels, unit conversion, reorder points, recipes and purchase orders raised with suppliers
  3. Storefront — the customer-facing ordering website, from browsing the menu through checkout
  4. Menu — categories, items, variants, combos and offers
  5. Users — staff accounts, the four built-in roles, and the Roles & Permissions editor for custom access
  6. System — audit logs, error logs, module on/off switches, and device sync
  7. Integrations — payment, SMS and email gateway connections
  8. Payroll — pay periods, salary advances, deductions and payslips
  9. Billing — the till, split payments, store-credit redemption, tips and refunds
  10. Customers — profiles, loyalty points, and the store-credit wallet
  11. Tables — floor layout, live occupied/free status, merging and splitting
  12. Pos — the point-of-sale terminal staff actually use to take an order and get paid
  13. Outlets — each branch's own details, operating hours and settings
  14. Backup — both backup systems: one outlet's own data, and a separate business-wide backup
  15. Modifiers — item add-on and choice groups (sizes, extras) attached to a menu item
  16. Pricing — discount rules, service charges and coupon codes
  17. Areas — the dining zones within an outlet that floors and tables are organised into
  18. Brands — brand-wide configuration that applies to every outlet at once
  19. Taxes — tax rates and how they're calculated onto a bill
  20. Communication — message templates and sending over SMS, email, push and WhatsApp
  21. Leave — staff leave requests and approvals

Where features actually live

A few features don't have a module of their own — they live inside a bigger module instead. Worth knowing before assuming something is missing:

Loyalty

Lives inside Customers. Points, not tiers — the membership tier feature was retired.

Coupons

Spans Pricing and Orders.

Attendance & shifts

Lives inside Payroll and Leave.

KOT & combos

Lives inside Orders and Menu.

Not yet built

Reservation, Franchise management, and Expense tracking haven't been built yet. If someone asks for one of these, that's a real gap in the software — not something missing from these docs.
